SSU Institution Innovation Council (SSU IIC)

A. VISION AND MISSION
Seacom Skills University (SSU) has established an Institution’s Innovation Council (IC202219865) in the campus during the academic calendar year 2022-23, as per the norms of Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, and Government of India.

As per the purview of National Educational Policy (NEP) 2020, SSU IIC will focus on:

• Research and innovation by setting up Start-up Incubation Centre including Technology Development Centre in frontier areas of research in Agriculture, Pharmacy, Law, Science and Engineering.
• Entrepreneurship Program with greater industry-academic linkages.
• Interdisciplinary research including humanities and social sciences research.
• Keeping in mind of the very recent experiences of Covid 19 and other epidemics, SSU IIC may take a lead to undertake research in the areas of early detection and cure of Infectious diseases.
• Developing specific hand holding mechanisms and competitions for building and promoting an ecosystem for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Development (IEV).

• Innovation and Knowledge Sharing.
• Entrepreneurship and Business Management.
• Technology Commercialization and design projects for students, startups and entrepreneurs.
• To set-up 3D Printing Technology in the campus of SSU and to establish know-hows by providing training to the students and faculty members.
• To facilitate exchange of information, knowledge and best practices.
• To cooperate for increasing outreach for supporting Start-ups.
• To provide consultation and mentorship for the Entrepreneurs, Startups and conduct Outreach program.
